I tried this last Tuesday, July 20, for my husband's birthday dinner and it turned out really great. I added oyster sauce as recommended by one of the sellers in Seaside Macapagal. Thanks for this! =)

Isai - Yes I agree it must have been the choice of food that I ordered. I still maintain that the chicken is the one thing that remains great. I went back to this place just for it. :)

I think A Veneto is really a good place to eat. Cheap pero so far it never disappointed me if we were talking about food. Hehe. I hate their "please wait to be seated" concept though. Not really working cos they don't assist agad. :(

BUT I think perhaps it was just the choice of food. You should try their oil and garlic in white sauce pastas and the nut pesto ones. Their seafood pesto pizza is good too.

I still think the branch in Glorietta is better. :-)

OMG! Yes! I remember these a long time ago. The relative of my former classmate is the owner of Eriel's. When I tasted the silvanas for the first time, I was hooked! I bought two dozen boxes and brought them as pasalubong when I went back to America. Of course, they were a bit soggy, even though I froze them before I left the Philippines, but when I got home, I just popped them back in the freezer and voila! Crispy yumminess was restored! On a return trip to the Philippines, I found equally tasty silvanas at a stand in Greenhills. But, I will always love the original - Eriel's. Such cute packaging!

LOL! I'd do the same -- scrape off the sauce -- if my orange chicken was as tasty as you say yours was. Scrapers need not be judged.

Sinful! The last time I tasted one was when I was cajoled into buying a buy-1-take-1 moist cake slice at Shopwise. It was a romantic night -- just me and the cake slices. I can tell by the chocolate layers being really moist and all that it goes down well coz not all moist cakes are like that -- Mondo Juice's in particular.

June 19, 2010 7pm...my husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at John and Yoko Restaurant- Greenbelt 5, Makati City. We have yet to start the food and 'twas terrible we found a "fly" in our Miso Ramen. We immediately showed to the waiters and waitresses... and they pulled out the Miso Ramen outright. I understand it could happen from other restaurant but one thing made me upset.. NOBODY FROM THE STAFFS HAVE EVER APOLOGIZED ON THE INCIDENT... until we left the place, NOBODY APOLOGIZED!!! Out of my 5 visits to John & Yoko Greenbelt 5, I encountered the sanitary problem twice on separate occasions and I never ever received apologies...

I think it's still there because the office over there belongs to the compnay who makes the choco mallows that we see in the grocery stores. I'm just not 100% sure because I left the Philippines last December '08 and moved here to California. Try to check it out and it's always nice to know where our goodies are coming from. Good luck! :-)

had my bday treat at myron's last sunday...we were not disappointed...loved the grape shake..loved the mesclun salad with crab cake...loved the moroccan lamb shank...not much of a steak eater but the one we ordered was tasty and juicy..unlike what we had at chateau 1771...service was above -average...but what topped the meal for me was the excellent vanilla bread pudding with caramel ice cream and buttescotch sauce. ..a meal for 5 cost P4000 including drinks but i find it money well spent
