A foodie’s gadgets

I have been reading up on several bloggers’ DiscOVIries contest and only now found a theme that I can participate in. Surprisingly though, I found the theme through tech blogger Javyee instead of another foodie like me. His week 3 contest encouraged bloggers to show their passions in terms of the gadgets you have or use related to it. This theme is named: Display Your Gadgets. Javyee is a tech blogger so his photo included his collection of computer, camera and podcasting equipment. Nice.

So here is my entry to Display Your Gadgets.

Foodie gadgets

I naturally became a foodie because of my love affair with food. I love to eat, dine, and cook. It has also brought me to writing about my encounters with food and my experience cooking it. This is accompanied by a shelf full of Yummy magazines, a couple of cookbooks (I only started buying them), a collection of mixing bowls, wooden spoons, several baking pans, and a stock-filled pantry. I took this photo feeling sentimental about how far I have come in terms of my kitchen skills. I learned from the best, those who raised me – my dad (cooking) and my mom (baking).

      Wow, thanks for the blogging idea. Cool. Yeah, I have so many kitchen gadgets. My favourite is my super KitchenAid Stand Mixer. It’s my baby.

      My recent gadget obsession is a Takoyaki / Aebleskiver pan. I to order it from United States (coz I was looking for a specific brand). I wait eagerly for my package to arrive. I can’t wait to make my own savoury takoyaki… and Danish pancake apple puff balls!!!

      fruityoaty – Thank Jayvee too as he brought the idea to his readers. I wouldn’t have thought of my kitchen stuff as “gadgets” until he mentioned it.

      Ooh I am still hoping hubby will give in and buy me the pink KitchenAid Artisan mixer. At least if he buys it he won’t complain about me spending too much. LOL.

      I do not have much of food gadgets at home but I love to eat! I hate cooking actually.
      It is quite strange that I am planning to have another one small food stall aside from my existing food cart business but I have no plan to hold the equipments in cooking. I hire somebody to do it for me.
