Battle of the burgers
I know several people who would probably disagree (make that a lot) but if I were asked to choose between Jollibee or McDonalds, I would have to say McDonalds. Although it is not my first choice, it will do since it is admittedly one of the most accessible fast food joints in the metro.
My ultimate favorite is of course, Wendy’s Hamburgers. Unfortunately, there are very few of those that can be found so when I am near one, I am sure to get the Big Bacon Cheeseburger Meal – Biggie Size. Hehe (ok ok I’m gaining weight just thinking about it, so what?).
I had the opportunity to try out each one’s new hamburger selections they offer today and I wanted to share with you why I am so loving fast food right now.
Wendy’s Baconator. What a name to give a sandwich. I can imagine myself being trampled on by a gigantic bun filled with beef patties and tons of bacon. This is not far from what you can expect out of Wendy’s baconator. It contains six strips of bacon on top of two quarter pound patties and slices of cheese. If I can boast about finishing a whole Big Bacon Classic, then I must admit defeat to the baconator. I was full after eating half of it which is not to say it was not satisfyingly good. In fact it was awesome but too big even for my stomach (huh? when did that happen?).
McDonalds Double Cheeseburger Deluxe. This sandwich is the enhanced version of the original Double Cheeseburger which contains two beef patties and two slices of cheese. What’s new you ask? Beats me but instead of the bland taste we have all come to recognize (and love), this sandwich now provides a juicier and tastier alternative to those who remain loyal to the Golden Arches.
I’m definitely craving for some fastfood beef patties right now. Aren’t you?

i love McDo’s cheeseburger with fries, Hotshots, Brother’s Burger!
Kenny Roger’s cheeseburger is yummy too!
My favorite burger is also Wendy’s. Unfortunately there’s no more Wendy’s here in Cebu.

I also like Brother’s Burger’s Lamb Burger–it has pesto sauce and feta cheese, yum!!! 
u8mypinkcookies – I love HotShots too but its existence is even rarer than Wendy’s. As for Brothers Burger – well for me that is certainly at a higher level than all the others just because it costs more.
fedge – See? How can Wendy’s not see how big a market they have here in the Philippines? Calling on Wendy’s – they need a branch in Cebu asap!

Yah.. I agree, Hotshots should put up more stores.. I also love WENDY’s Bacon Mushroom Melt. Yummm-o!

I love Bite Club! They offer a wide variety of sauces. Jammers’ burgers are also yummy. Boracay is no longer just a beach lover’s paradise. It has become a foodie’s haven too.
I wish I can relate. Haven’t been to Boracay so you guys have to introduce us to all the good food out there.
apples: you gotta try Bite Club when you go to Bora! and if you love pizza & pasta, don’t miss Aria!! and of course the famous Jonah’s shakes

And a vote for Wham Burger even with the bad rap they got a couple of years ago.
I was a Wendy’s fan then they let quality suffer due to cost cutting measures. Their fries were also superb but not they taste like camote fries. If I wanted those then I would visit the stalls in Cabanatuan which have perfected that snack.

Biteclub has a branch in Katipunan! Where it originally started
Apples, you can try biteclub there! I dunno if you’ve blogged about Burger Ave or Ave Burger in A.Venue, the bbq burger is really good!

Aww you reminded me about A Venue. I used to live near there and was so excited when I saw how it was turning out. But we moved before I could reap the benefits. Something to go back to.

Double Cheeseburger Deluxe > Baconator. The Baconator’s way too bland even for my standards. The absence of tomatoes in the sandwich is also a disappointment.
Between Jollibee and McDonald’s, I’ll choose McDonald’s as well.
i find wendy’s expensive these days, if you are to compare with mcdonald’s and jollibee. with that price i’d rather go to bite club, wham burgers, hotshots or maybe brother’s burger. what i miss so much? carl’s jr. i think its one of the best real american burger joint.
Junnie – Unfortunately, I agree. A full Wendys meal will set you back like you just ate at a non-fastfood restaurant. I too love Carl’s JR but I dont think it clicked well with the pinoy tastebuds. An alternative is Burger king but their branches are too few also.
