Easy to make barbecued chicken

bbq-chicken.jpgI realized that I have not published a lot of articles that are related to home cooking. And if you must know, I not only love to eat – I love to cook as well. Being the eldest girl in the family branded me with the expectation that I must be the one to learn how to cook… among other things. So there I went watching my father do his thing at the wok. He taught me everything I know about cooking. In fact, whenever I was not sure about how a certain dish was cooked, the first person I would call would be my father. And that includes the time that I was in the US.

Well enough about me and let’s go on to the food.

I am a working wife and mom and given that, I hardly have enough time to cook everyday for our family’s meals. However on our yaya’s day off and most especially on special occasions, I do a bit of Rachel Ray in my own home. For those who are busy as I am – chicken is the best way to go.

Homemade BBQ Chicken

Ingredients:
2-3 Chicken leg quarters
1 cup Kikkoman Teriyaki sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp pepper

Directions:
Marinate the chicken leg quarters in the listed ingredients. 2-3 hours is enough. Overnight is better.

Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes. Don’t forget to check it once in a while so that you can turn it over at the appropriate time to allow for the other side to cook.

Viola! BBQ Chicken surprise! Told you it was easy.

:)
